Ghanaian footballers across the globe delivered an eventful weekend filled with goals, standout displays and notable milestones for their respective clubs in leagues spanning Europe, Asia and North America.
Leading the charge was experienced forward Andre Ayew, who opened his account for NAC Breda in dramatic fashion during their thrilling 3-3 stalemate with Feyenoord in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday. The Black Stars captain’s goal signals his continued push for national team recognition ahead of the World Cup this summer.
Ayew was not the only Ghanaian on the scoresheet for the Dutch side, as Kamal Sowah also struck in the same encounter to help NAC Breda secure a share of the spoils in an entertaining contest.

Several Ghanaian players featured across England’s competitions over the weekend.
In the FA Cup, Forson Amankwah made his return from injury, coming off the bench to play eight minutes for Norwich City in their 3-0 loss to Leeds United.
In the Championship, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew were both involved as Leicester City shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.
Brandon Thomas-Asante was introduced late in Coventry City’s 2-0 victory over Bristol City, playing six minutes.
