Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has unveiled his final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with captain Jordan Ayew, midfielder Thomas Partey and forward Inaki Williams among the headline names selected for the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The Black Stars will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup and Queiroz has opted for a squad that combines experienced internationals with several emerging talents as Ghana aims to make a deep run on football’s biggest stage.
Among the goalkeepers, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang have been chosen to provide competition for the starting role, with all three expected to play important supporting roles during the campaign.
At the back, the Portuguese coach has retained a core of experienced defenders, including Baba Abdul Rahman, Gideon Mensah, Alidu Seidu and Abdul Mumin. They are joined by younger options such as Kojo Peprah Oppong and Marvin Senaya, while Derrick Luckassen and Jerome Opoku add further depth to the defensive unit.
