Viktoria Plzen’s in-form forward Prince Kwabena Adu has shared his excitement after linking up with the Ghana national team for the first time ahead of their upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
The 22-year-old striker, who has been in scintillating form for the Czech champions, earned his maiden Black Stars invitation on the back of an impressive campaign that has seen him score six goals so far this season — including one in the UEFA Europa League.
With attacking regulars Inaki Williams, Jordan Ayew, and Mohammed Kudus all unavailable for the Asian tour, Kwabena Adu is widely tipped to make the most of this window of opportunity as Ghana’s coaching staff assess new attacking options.
Upon his arrival in Nagoya, the former Bechem United forward took to Instagram to express his pride and determination, posting a photo of himself in camp with the simple caption:
“Duty.”

His inclusion is part of the technical team’s broader plan to integrate emerging talents into the national setup. The Black Stars’ head coach has emphasized that these friendlies will serve as a proving ground for several fresh faces.
Among the debutants joining Kwabena Adu are Prince Owusu of CF Montreal, a former Germany youth international, and Kelvin Nkrumah, the teenage sensation from Medeama SC.
