Assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei believes Heart of Lions have what it takes to turn their fortunes around when they face Basake Holy Stars in their upcoming Ghana Premier League encounter.
The Kpando-based side has struggled for consistency in recent weeks, recording three defeats in their last five league outings. Their current run also includes consecutive losses in their two most recent matches, a dip in form the technical team is eager to address quickly.
Their latest setback came on Sunday at the Kpando Sports Stadium, where they were beaten by Bibiani Gold Stars in a match that further complicated their push for momentum in the league campaign.
Despite the disappointing results, Nii Adjei remains confident that the team can respond positively in their next fixture. Speaking after the game, the former Ghana international emphasized that the technical team and players will focus on improving during training ahead of the crucial clash.
He assured supporters that the squad is determined to correct recent mistakes and secure maximum points when they take on Holy Stars.
“We are going to prepare and go and face them. We know it’s going to be difficult, but in football everything is possible,” Daniel Nii Adjei said.
The Week 24 showdown between Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, as both sides look to strengthen their positions in the Ghana Premier League standings.
