Kudus expected back as Tottenham gear up for derby showdown

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank believes Mohammed Kudus will shake off his recent knock in time for the fiery North London Derby, offering Spurs a timely lift as they prepare to face Arsenal on November 23.

The Ghanaian forward has sat out Tottenham’s last two games, but the club is optimistic about his recovery. Instead of travelling for Ghana’s friendlies against Japan and South Korea, Kudus is staying put in London, focusing fully on his rehab at Hotspur Way.

Van de Ven hopes Kudus recovers in time for Spurs’ clash with Man United

The plan, according to Frank, is simple: get him fit, keep him sharp, and have him firing when Arsenal roll into town.

“Very confident that he should be available for the next one,” the Spurs manager said after their clash with Manchester United, a hint that Kudus’ absence is more precautionary than problematic.

Kudus has quietly become the creative engine of this Spurs side, topping the squad’s assist chart with four and routinely giving defenders headaches with his bursts of pace and sharp decision-making. His return would not only restore balance to Frank’s attack but also bring back a bit of swagger that’s been missing in recent weeks.

Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the fitness of Randal Kolo Muani, who is dealing with a jaw issue, and young midfielder Lucas Bergvall, still navigating concussion protocols.

But the looming derby, and the likely return of Kudus, is the headline Frank and Spurs fans will cling to as the break winds down.
