Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly turned their attention to highly-rated defender Joshua Quarshie as they begin planning for the upcoming transfer window.
According to reports circulating in Germany, the 21-year-old centre-back, who is of Ghanaian descent, is being monitored as a potential defensive addition, with club officials keen on strengthening their backline ahead of next season.
Quarshie, currently on the books of Southampton, only made the switch to England in the summer of 2025 after leaving TSG Hoffenheim. His move came following a loan spell at SpVgg Greuther Fürth, where he gained valuable first-team experience in Germany.
Despite arriving with promise, the towering 1.96m defender has struggled to secure a consistent starting role at St. Mary’s Stadium, making 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season. That limited involvement has reportedly alerted Frankfurt, who believe a return to the Bundesliga could unlock his full potential.

German outlet BILD suggests that decision-makers at the Waldstadion are optimistic about their chances of luring the defender back to Germany, viewing him as a long-term investment with significant upside.
However, any potential deal may not be straightforward. Quarshie remains under contract with Southampton until June 30, 2029, leaving the English side in a strong negotiating position should formal interest materialize.
On the international front, Quarshie’s future also remains open. Although he has represented Germany at U-18, U-19, and U-20 levels, he is still eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana at senior level, a prospect that continues to attract attention given his steady development.
