Asante Kotoko boss Karim Zito is marching into Sunday’s Super Clash with a crystal-clear mission: get the job done and take all three points. The veteran tactician isn’t interested in noise, narratives, or point-scoring. His eyes are locked on one thing alone, victory over archrivals Hearts of Oak.

Ghana’s football landscape is already buzzing as another chapter of this historic feud draws near, yet Zito is carrying himself with a striking calmness. Beneath that composure, though, is a coach who knows exactly what this game demands.

“My focus now is simply to win, not to prove a point,” he declared, making his stance unmistakable. “That said, beating Hearts would definitely give us a big morale boost. Nobody goes into a fight expecting to lose. Insha Allah, we’re going to win.”

Kotoko have spent the week fine-tuning their approach for a clash that always threatens to set the league alight. Both camps understand what is at stake, especially at this early stage of the campaign.

For Zito, in his first season steering the Porcupine Warriors, a triumph over Hearts would do more than lift spirits. It would cement belief in the project he’s trying to build and reaffirm his leadership in one of Africa’s most pressure-soaked coaching jobs.

The Accra Sports Stadium will be the centre of national attention on Sunday as Ghana’s two giants collide once again, a rivalry drenched in emotion, history, and a guarantee of drama on Matchday 9.
