Ibrahim Sulemana has officially kicked off his Bologna journey, making his first appearance for the club in a strong 3–0 triumph over Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who joined the Rossoblù on loan from Atalanta during the last transfer window, had endured a two-month wait to feature due to injury. He was introduced late in the game, replacing Giovanni Fabbian for the final 12 minutes as Bologna comfortably saw out the match.

The coaching staff is expected to ease the Ghanaian international into regular action as he builds form and sharpness in the Italian topflight.

Ibrahim Sulemana chose Bologna over five other clubs

The encounter itself offered its share of twists. Bologna could have taken the lead earlier, but Riccardo Orsolini squandered a first-half penalty. The winger, however, redeemed himself after the break by setting up Tommaso Pobega for the opener in the 54th minute.

Pobega struck again just six minutes later, doubling Bologna’s advantage with another well-taken goal.

And in stoppage time, former Juventus forward Federico Bernardeschi sealed the win with a clinical finish, putting an emphatic stamp on Bologna’s night.

For Sulemana, the cameo may have been brief, but it marks the beginning of what the club hopes will be a meaningful role throughout the season.
