Aduana Stars have been dealt an unexpected blow following the sudden resignation of their assistant coach, Paul Tandoh, despite the club’s blistering start to the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Dormaa-based outfit announced the experienced tactician’s departure in an official statement, confirming an amicable separation between both parties.

“We thank him for his dedication and contribution to the club,” the statement read.

Tandoh, known for his military-style discipline and deep tactical insight, joined the two-time Ghana Premier League champions in July 2022. His presence in the technical area was credited with refining player mentality and contributing to Aduana’s recent resurgence.

Before his stint in Dormaa, Tandoh had spells with several elite sides, including Hearts of Oak, where he built a reputation as one of the most industrious and detail-oriented figures in Ghanaian football coaching circles.

His departure comes at a delicate time for the “Ogya Boys,” who have been in sensational form, winning six of their first nine league games to sit comfortably atop the table with 19 points.

Despite losing a key figure in their backroom staff, Aduana Stars have vowed to keep their momentum intact as they aim for a historic third league crown.

The reigning league leaders will now turn their attention to a high-stakes clash against Asante Kotoko in Kumasi this weekend, a fixture that will test their resilience amid off-field turbulence.
