Hamburger SV refused to bow out quietly, snatching a dramatic share of the spoils thanks to a last-gasp strike from Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer in a tense 1–1 battle with Borussia Dortmund at the Volksparkstadion.

The Ghanaian attacker began the evening on the bench, but everything shifted the moment he stepped onto the pitch in the 62nd minute for Yussuf Poulsen. His pace and aggression immediately gave Hamburg a spark they had lacked, and he stayed lively throughout a second half that increasingly tilted toward chaos.

Dortmund had earlier drawn first blood in the 64th minute when Carney Chukwuemeka capitalised on a cleverly executed corner routine, putting the visitors in control and quieting the home stands. The Black and Yellow enjoyed most of the ball, dictated the rhythm, and repeatedly pushed Hamburg back, yet never found the cushion that would have sealed the game.

That failure came back to bite them deep into stoppage time. With Dortmund bracing for the final whistle, Miro Muheim whipped in a pinpoint delivery, and Yeboah-Königsdörffer rose between two defenders to steer a composed header into the bottom right corner in the 90+7th minute. The stadium erupted, and Hamburg snatched a result they had chased relentlessly.

For HSV, the equaliser felt like a reward for refusing to fold under pressure, while Dortmund were left to rue their inability to close out a match they largely controlled. The point gives Hamburg momentum to carry into their upcoming Bundesliga clash with Augsburg on November 22nd.
