Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu remains firmly committed to turning his long-term dream of competing in Europe’s top five leagues into reality, as his development at Viktoria Plzeň continues on an upward curve.
The striker secured his move to the Czech side in August 2024, joining from Kryvbas FC on a three-year deal. Rather than a short-term gamble, the transfer was a calculated step, one he believes will serve as a springboard toward football’s most competitive environments.
Since settling in Plzeň, Kwabena Adu has grown into a dependable presence in attack. His tally of eight goals across all competitions this season reflects both his consistency and increasing influence within the squad, as he steadily builds a profile that could attract attention beyond the Czech top flight.

Despite the progress, the forward remains grounded in his ambitions, fully aware of the level required to reach Europe’s elite competitions. His focus, however, has not wavered.
“Going to Viktoria Plzeň, my target was, in two to three years, to be in the top five leagues,” Kwabena told JoySports.
“I am still working very hard because it is not easy to get there. I am still on it, working very hard. I know it will come true, I am praying for that and working hard for it.”
His upward trajectory is not limited to club football. On the international stage, Kwabena Adu has begun carving out opportunities with the Ghana national football team. He featured prominently in consecutive friendlies against Austria and Germany in March, as Ghana intensifies preparations ahead of the next FIFA World Cup.
With steady club performances and increasing international exposure, Kwabena Adu’s journey appears to be unfolding exactly as planned, one deliberate step at a time toward the highest levels of European football.
