Former England international Owen Hargreaves has lauded Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo for his adaptability and overall quality, admitting that the attacker is one of the players he enjoys watching most on the pitch.
Semenyo, 26, grabbed the headlines again after delivering a decisive moment for Manchester City on Saturday. The Ghanaian forward struck the only goal in a tight encounter to secure a 1-0 victory, a result that keeps Pep Guardiola’s side firmly in pursuit of Arsenal F.C. in the Premier League title race.

Speaking while analysing the closely fought contest between Leeds United and Manchester City, Hargreaves highlighted Semenyo’s influence on the game and insisted the Black Stars attacker has fully earned his place in Guardiola’s squad.
“He deserves the opportunity of playing with the best team, or one of the best teams, with the best players. He’s a fabulous player, he can play on the left, he can play through the middle, on the right, he played as a split-striker today.
I love watching him play, he’s so versatile, he’s athletic, he’s a good finisher. Where you want to be as a footballer is at the top, and he’s come all the way through the ranks, it’s quite an amazing story,” Owen Hargreaves said after the game.
