Hearts of Oak’s Communications Director, Kwame Opare Addo, has expressed confidence that the Phobians will return with renewed strength following their 2-2 draw against Bibiani GoldStars in the Ghana Premier League.
The Accra giants were held at home in a pulsating Matchday 7 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium, as they twice came from behind to earn a point. Samuel Attah Kumi’s brace for the visitors was cancelled out by goals from Mawuli Wayo and George Paaku, ensuring an entertaining but frustrating outcome for the home crowd.
Yesterday’s battle ended level 2️⃣–2️⃣ but the spirit remains unbroken.

Reflecting on the result in an interview with Asempa FM, Opare Addo admitted that the team was disappointed not to have secured all three points but stressed that the experience would serve as a catalyst for improvement.
“Drawing with Bibiani Gold Stars was a stepping stone for us to bounce back even stronger, although the players are not happy with the outcome of the game,” he stated.
The draw keeps Hearts of Oak in sixth place on the league standings with 13 points, as they continue to build consistency in their campaign. The Phobians will aim to extend their unbeaten run when they make the trip to face Basake Holy Stars in their upcoming Matchday 8 encounter this weekend.
