Manchester United icon Luis Nani has thrown his support behind a potential move for Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, encouraging the Red Devils to consider a January swoop for the Bournemouth attacker.
Semenyo’s stock has continued to rise following an impressive start to the Premier League season, with the 25-year-old emerging as one of the Cherries’ standout performers. After committing his future to the south coast club last summer, the Ghana international now has a reported £65 million release clause that becomes active in the winter transfer window.

His form has not gone unnoticed. Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Manchester City are both believed to be monitoring the forward closely, positioning themselves as early favourites should Bournemouth be forced into negotiations.
Despite that competition, Nani believes Semenyo possesses the attributes United are crying out for, especially as the club prepares for a league meeting with Bournemouth. Speaking to Metro, the former winger outlined why the Ghanaian would excite supporters at Old Trafford.
“I think all the players who have the ability to move forward at speed, being able to dribble, able to shoot, to score goals, to assist and just have that general creativity at the moment would suit Manchester United,’ he told Metro.

“That’s the type of player the fans want to see. However, we know that when players come to Man United, this is totally different. It’s a different environment, different pressure, different mentality, different job and, and then they have to adapt. I hope if we get Semenyo, he can come with his attitude, with this mentality, and he can put all of his talent on the field and help the team,” he added.
Semenyo has already netted six league goals this season, underlining his growing influence in England’s top flight. With his blend of power, pace and direct attacking play, the Ghanaian forward continues to strengthen his case as one of the most sought-after attackers heading into the January window.
