Black Stars skipper Jordan Ayew has pledged that Ghana will rise to the occasion and make the nation proud at next year’s FIFA World Cup, following the team’s dramatic qualification for the global event.
The Leicester City forward led from the front as Ghana edged Comoros in a tense encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that confirmed the Black Stars as Group I winners and guaranteed their fifth straight World Cup appearance.

Ayew was instrumental throughout the qualifying campaign, registering 14 direct goal involvements, seven goals and seven assists, highlighting his consistency and leadership in Otto Addo’s resurgent side. The 33-year-old is now set to appear at his third World Cup, having previously represented Ghana at Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022.
In a heartfelt message shared on the Black Stars’ official social media channels, Ayew expressed his appreciation to Ghanaians and his teammates for their support and commitment, paying tribute to the collective effort that powered the team’s qualification dream.
