Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has admitted that the coming days present one of the most demanding stretches of his season, as the Phobians prepare for back-to-back competitions domestically in Ghana.
With the GHALCA Top Four and the Homowo Cup both fast approaching, Dramani says the workload has intensified for players and technical staff alike.
The 2025 GHALCA Top Four, scheduled for August 20 to 24 at the Accra Sports Stadium, will see Hearts face off against some of the country’s toughest opposition. The Phobians will test themselves against newly crowned Premier League champions Gold Stars FC, fierce rivals Asante Kotoko, and Heart of Lions, in what promises to be a thrilling battle for early-season bragging rights before the league campaign kicks off.
Speaking to Happy FM, Dramani explained the challenges of juggling competitions while integrating fresh faces into his squad:
“Hectic time of the season, more especially when you have a new style, a new crop of players coming in an environment where you want to institute clear cultures directly into philosophies and then finding the right game models that is the style of players.”
That is trying to get people to move away from a different concept into a new concept, and then finding ways to get them adapted,” he added.
