Following his unveiling as new player at Bechem United, Ghanaian forward Mohammed Aminu has set his targets clear, asserting that he wants to use the chance to get a national team call.

The 24-year-old was unveiled by Bechem United on Friday on a one-year contract. The player, who formerly played for Manchester City’s youth teams, has targeted a personal renaissance.

“My target this season is to score a lot of goals, to help my teammates and hopefully get a Black Stars (Ghana senior national team) call-up,” he said in his address to the club media.

“Bechem is one of the top clubs in Ghana Premier League, and that’s one of the reasons why it was so easy for me to make this decision.”

At Manchester City U21, he made 17 appearances, where he scored two goals with one assist. As a Cityzen, he was sent on loan spells at Lommel SK, FC Dordrecht and NAC Breda in the Netherlands. Previously, he featured for Ghana sides Feynoord Fetteh and WAFA FC.

Meanwhile, internationally, the striker has previously received national team call-ups both at the Ghana U-17 and U-20 teams, respectively.
