Ivory Coast and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has heaped praise on Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus, highlighting the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder as one of the standout performers in the English Premier League this season.
Kudus, who made a high-profile £55 million move to Spurs during the summer, has quickly become one of the league’s most influential players. In just nine Premier League outings, he has registered five assists and a goal, dazzling fans with his creativity and relentless drive on the right flank.
Speaking in an interview with Sporty TV, Drogba couldn’t hide his admiration for the 24-year-old Ghanaian:
“I like Kudus, he has done brilliantly in the Premier League, and started well at Tottenham,” he said.

The former Chelsea striker went on to mention two other players who have caught his eye this season.
“I used to like [Nicolas] Jackson because I saw a lot of similarities [with myself]. Of course, my brother, of course, Mohammed Salah, King Salah,” Drogba added.
Kudus’ impact has been nothing short of sensational. No winger across Europe’s top five leagues has recorded more assists, delivered more accurate crosses, won more duels, or completed more successful attacking actions so far this season.
As Tottenham gear up for a mouthwatering London derby against Chelsea this weekend, Kudus will be eager to maintain his sparkling form, and perhaps earn another nod of approval from the Ivorian great who once ruled the same Premier League stage.
