Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has opted for a mid-season reset, sealing a loan move from Belgian heavyweights RSC Anderlecht to RAAL La Louvière until the end of the campaign.

The 28-year-old was officially unveiled by RAAL La Louvière as their fourth acquisition of the winter transfer window, underlining the club’s intent to strengthen decisively for the second half of the season. Club officials believe Ashimeru’s pedigree and composure in midfield will be vital as they push to meet their campaign objectives.

The temporary switch brings an end, at least for now, to a frustrating spell at Anderlecht. Ashimeru found opportunities hard to come by this season, struggling to cement a place in the matchday squad and seeing limited action at Lotto Park. The move to the Easi Arena is widely viewed as a chance for the midfielder to reboot, gain consistent minutes, and rediscover his best form.

A product of the renowned Red Bull football structure, Ashimeru boasts a well-travelled European résumé, with previous stints in Austria and Switzerland before carving out a name for himself in Belgium. Since arriving at Anderlecht in 2021, he has featured 129 times across competitions, contributing nine goals and six assists.

With 12 senior caps for Ghana to his name, Ashimeru now turns the page, embracing this loan spell as an opportunity to rebuild momentum, sharpen his confidence, and reassert his influence on the pitch.
