Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu has sounded a note of caution ahead of his side’s trip to Dormaa, insisting Aduana FC will be a far more dangerous opponent as they look to respond to last weekend’s setback.
The Dormaa-based club were stunned 1–0 at home by Vision FC, a result that compounded a worrying spell of form which has seen them manage only one victory in their last six league games. Rather than seeing that dip as an advantage, Amadu believes it raises the stakes for Karela even higher.
“That is what makes it very challenging, because they are now wounded lions and they will not want to lose or draw,” Amadu said. “They are also hoping to win the league,” he told the press.
The Karela boss was quick to highlight Aduana’s pedigree, pointing to their experience and resilience, particularly when playing on home soil. In his view, form can be deceptive when a seasoned side is under pressure to respond.
“They also have experienced players, so on a good day they can beat any opponent,” he noted, adding that his players must be fully prepared for a demanding afternoon.
Karela, however, arrive in Dormaa carrying belief of their own. A strong run of results, just one defeat in their last seven league matches, has lifted spirits in camp and reinforced confidence that they can compete away from home against top opposition.

Amadu acknowledged that Aduana’s recent slip will have sharpened their focus, but he challenged his team to rise to the occasion and match their hosts in intensity and ambition.
“If you are challenging for the league, you don’t lose matches like that,” Amadu said. “We have to give them the match of their lives. It’s going to be a very interesting game.”
With both sides chasing momentum for different reasons, Sunday’s encounter in Dormaa is shaping up as a compelling test of character, resolve and ambition.
