Bibiani Gold Stars have confirmed the return of veteran striker Prince Opoku Agyemang as they gear up for the 2025/26 season and their maiden CAF Champions League adventure.
The 33-year-old, who previously led the line for the “Miners” before departing in 2022, has signed a long-term deal with the Ghanaian champions after completing a stint with Indian I-League outfit Mohammedan Sporting Club.
His homecoming was announced through a statement on the club’s social media pages, which hailed the move as a significant boost to their attacking options.

Agyemang is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having represented several top-flight sides including Medeama SC, Heart of Lions, New Edubiase FC, and Eleven Wise. He also featured for the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s home-based national team, before venturing abroad. The towering forward’s career has taken him to South Africa with Cape Town City FC, and most recently to Asia, where he sharpened his craft in India.
His wealth of experience and proven eye for goal are expected to provide GoldStars with a cutting edge as they aim to impress in both domestic and continental competitions. The club, still smarting from their narrow defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Champion of Champions clash, is now turning its attention to their CAF Champions League opener against Algerian giants JS Kabylie later this month.
GoldStars fans will hope Agyemang’s return sparks another prolific spell at Dun’s Park, where his leadership and physical presence could be crucial to their ambitions of making a mark on the continental stage.
