Serie A side Fiorentina are considering to make a move for Ghanaian international defender Tariq Lamptey, who might be looking elsewhere from Falmer Stadium, Football Italia confirms.

In Italy, the 24-year-old, whose Transfermarkt value is estimated at €11 million, is looked at as a potential substitute for Brazilian back Dodo.

In the beginning of the summer, Brighton & Hove Albion have secured the services of Lamptey for another year.  Lamptey agreed to the contract extension that should keep him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Lamptey, who represents Ghana at international level, has been a key figure for the Seagulls since arriving from Chelsea in 2020.

Over the past five years, Lamptey has registered 122 appearances across all domestic and international competitions, scoring five goals and registering 12 assists.
