Antoine Semenyo’s flying start to the season at AFC Bournemouth has earned him a second individual accolade in as many weeks, with the Ghanaian forward now walking away with the club’s Goal of the Month award for August.
The 25-year-old, already crowned Player of the Month by supporters, secured the double after fans overwhelmingly voted for his dazzling solo effort against Liverpool.

Semenyo’s award-winning strike came in spectacular fashion. Picking the ball up deep in his own half, the former Bristol City man bulldozed through Liverpool’s midfield before unleashing a thunderous finish past Alisson. That goal, which sealed his brace on the opening night of the campaign, briefly put him in contention for the Premier League’s overall Goal of the Month, though the honour eventually went to Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Black Stars striker has quickly become Bournemouth’s early-season talisman, recording three goals and two assists in just four league outings
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with two Team of the Week appearances already placing him firmly in the conversation as a potential Team of the Season candidate.
