Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has shifted his focus to Los Angeles Galaxy’s League Cup’s quarter-final clash against Mexican powerhouse Pachuca on Wednesday.
The in-form attacker, who grabbed a consolation goal in the 3-1 loss to Inter Miami on Sunday, insists the team has shaken off that setback and is prepared to fight for a place in the semi-finals.
“We are fully ready, this isn’t about me alone, the entire squad is locked in,” Paintsil said after the Miami game. “We know our league campaign has slipped away, but this Wednesday is everything. We must throw our bodies on the line. Sweat, blood, whatever it takes, we have to win at home.”
3 more wins.

With Galaxy set to enjoy home advantage in California, Paintsil urged his teammates to rise to the occasion, stressing there are no excuses left.
“We need to display both individual brilliance and collective strength. Playing at home gives us the edge, and we cannot waste it. Winning on Wednesday is the only option,” he added.
“Our supporters deserve this. It’s been a tough season, but this Cup is our chance to give them something to cheer about. We must go all the way step by step, starting with Pachuca,” Paintsil conluded.
