Liverpool have reportedly emerged as frontrunners in the chase for Bournemouth and Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo, according to AfricaSoccer.com.
The in-form attacker has become one of the hottest properties in the Premier League, with his explosive performances catching the eye of several elite clubs. Though he attracted strong interest from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool during the last transfer window, Semenyo opted for stability, signing a long-term extension that ties him to Bournemouth until 2030.
That decision, however, hasn’t cooled the speculation. Bournemouth are understood to be preparing for renewed interest in January, with top European sides expected to return with fresh offers. Reports suggest that Liverpool have already made initial contact with the Ghana international’s camp as they look to bolster their attacking options.

The Merseyside club are said to be working “around the clock” to tempt Semenyo to Anfield. His current valuation is believed to sit between £90–100 million heading into the winter market, though that figure could reportedly dip to around £70 million by next summer.
Bournemouth remain in a strong negotiating position. Having secured Semenyo to a new deal with no release clause, the south coast side effectively control any potential transfer. Interested suitors will therefore have to meet Bournemouth’s own valuation to prise him away.
Despite the mounting interest, Bournemouth’s hierarchy have publicly dismissed talk of a sale. The club’s managing director recently emphasized that the forward “will be leaving in the foreseeable future,” underlining their stance that Semenyo is central to the club’s long-term project.
The 25-year-old has started the 2025/26 season in electrifying form, notching six goals and three assists in just seven Premier League appearances. His pace, work rate, and eye for goal have made him indispensable to Andoni Iraola’s side, and an increasingly irresistible prospect for Liverpool’s recruitment team.
