Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo says lining up alongside Thomas Partey for the Black Stars has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his career so far.
The Real Oviedo man, who earned his maiden senior call-up during the Matchday 7 qualifiers against Mali, has quickly become a valuable addition to Otto Addo’s squad. He formed a solid partnership with Partey through the closing stages of the World Cup qualification campaign, including the crucial clashes with the Central African Republic and Comoros.
Their chemistry in the middle of the park has been widely praised by both supporters and analysts, who see the duo as a balanced blend of energy and composure.

After Ghana’s tense 1-0 win over the Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that sealed the nation’s ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Sibo reflected on what it meant to share the pitch with one of his football idols.
“He [Thomas] scored and assisted. He is someone I look up to because he is a Ghanaian and plays in Europe,” Sibo said to the media.
“He played for big clubs in Europe and currently plays in Spain, just like me, so we both understand the roles we play in midfield. I am always happy to play alongside him, and I think it’s the same for him,” he added.
