Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari was the difference-maker on Saturday as Zeleznicar Pancevo claimed a hard-fought 1–0 triumph over FK Radnicki 1923 in the Serbian SuperLiga.

The 23-year-old led the line from the start and remained on the pitch for the full duration, delivering a commanding performance that ultimately sealed all three points for his side in their Week 127 encounter at the Sportsko-Rekreativni Centar Mladost.

Both teams battled fiercely in an intense first half that saw chances created but no breakthrough, heading into the interval locked in a tense stalemate. The tempo remained tight after the restart, with the match seemingly drifting toward a draw.

Karikari, however, had other ideas. The Ghanaian forward, who made the switch to Zeleznicar during the summer window, produced the decisive moment in the 69th minute, latching onto an opening to fire home the winner. His strike not only settled the contest but also reaffirmed his rising influence within the squad.

How Ghanaian stars abroad performed over the weekend

Since arriving in Serbia, Karikari has grown into one of Zeleznicar’s most reliable performers. He has featured in 12 of their 14 league fixtures, registering four goals and one assist in what has been an impressive debut campaign.

The former Ghana U-20 star signed a one-year contract, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026, and his current form suggests he will remain a vital figure as the season progresses.
