The Korea Football Association (KFA) has officially announced that the Taegeuk Warriors will face Ghana in an international friendly match in Seoul this November, cementing reports of the Black Stars’ upcoming Asian tour.
Set for November 18, 2025, the clash will mark the conclusion of Ghana’s two-match swing through Asia, which begins with a meeting against Japan four days earlier on November 14. Both encounters are designed to fine-tune preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Black Stars book their ticket: Ghana marches back to the World Cup stage
South Korean media have described the fixture as one of the standout friendlies of the year, with local outlets reporting:
“South Korea are expected to host Ghana in Seoul this November …”
The match rekindles a memorable rivalry that last lit up the global stage during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when Ghana triumphed 3–2 in a pulsating Group H duel. Mohammed Salisu opened the scoring, before Mohammed Kudus struck twice, while Cho Gue-sung’s brace kept the contest alive for the Koreans.
For Ghana, the Seoul encounter offers head coach Otto Addo a valuable chance to evaluate his squad, experiment with tactical variations, and gauge the team’s readiness for the pressures of elite competition.
On the other side, the Koreans view the fixture as an opportunity to measure their progress against one of Africa’s most competitive football nations.
