Kamaldeen Sulemana delivered a decisive cameo to help Atalanta book their place in the Coppa Italia semi-finals with a commanding victory over Juventus, turning the tie on its head with ruthless efficiency.

The Ghanaian winger began the night on the bench but was thrown into the action midway through the second half as Atalanta went in search of breathing space. Introduced in the 70th minute in place of Gianluca Scamacca, Sulemana needed barely any time to announce his presence.

Seven minutes after stepping onto the pitch, he pounced to bury Atalanta’s second goal, stretching the lead moments after Scamacca had broken the deadlock from the penalty spot.

Juventus struggled to recover from the double blow, and their hopes were finally extinguished late on when Croatian midfielder Mario Pašalić added a third in the closing minutes, putting the result beyond doubt and sending the Blue-Blacks through to the last four of the competition.

Sulemana’s growing influence continues to show this season, with the attacker now boasting three goals and one assist across all competitions. Buoyed by his match-winning impact off the bench, the Ghanaian will be pushing hard for a starting berth when Atalanta return to home turf for their next assignment.
