Belgian side RAAL La Louvière is finalising a deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiyah over Jerry Afriyie‘s transfer on a season loan, Footy-Africa exclusively reports.
According to Footy-Africa’s source close to the negotiations, both sides agreed on terms and only waiting for the official announcement.
Last season RAAL La Louvière earned promotion to Belgian Pro League, the top-tier division. Playing in the top-flight European league became the decisive factor for the 24-year-old Ghanaian in choosing his new place of work.
The move is understood to be a free loan, with no transfer fee involved. Afriyie still has three years on his Al Qadsiyah contract. His current market value is estimated at €200,000.
Afriyie returned to Al Qadsiyah following a productive loan spell at Spanish Segunda Division side CD Lugo last season. There he scored four goals and earned praise for his work rate and attacking presence.
