Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the departure of midfielder Seth Osei, bringing an abrupt end to his stay at the club just eight months after he joined.
Osei, who signed a two-year contract with the Phobians in January following a frustrating spell at South Africaβs TS Galaxy, failed to cement a place in the first team and has now mutually parted ways with the Ghanaian giants.
The 28-year-old requested to terminate his contract after finding himself out of favour under recently appointed head coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani. He slipped down the pecking order and did not make a single appearance in either the preseason GHALCA Top Four competition or the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Hearts confirmed the separation in an official release: βAccra Hearts of Oak has mutually parted ways with midfielder Seth Osei. We thank him for his commitment and service to the club during his time with us and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.β
The former AshantiGold SC playmaker arrived amid high expectations, but quickly faded from the picture as Dramani reshaped his squad. His inability to break into the Matchday line up prompted both parties to bring the relationship to an early end.
