Hearts of Oak boss Didi Dramani isn’t buying the idea that his side deserved to walk away empty-handed after their narrow 1-0 loss to Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s heated Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A lone strike from Guinean forward Morifing Donzo separated the rivals in a matchup that never lacked intensity. Kotoko stayed organized, picked their moment, and punished Hearts with the game’s only clear-cut chance. Still, Dramani felt the outcome tilted unfairly against his men.

In his post-match remarks, the Phobians coach acknowledged that his team fell short in a few key areas but insisted the overall contest didn’t warrant a defeat.

“We lost, but I think we didn’t deserve to lose, in my opinion, and for anyone who observed the game closely,” Dramani said. “We didn’t do well in some areas and need to improve, but the result doesn’t tell the full story of how we played.”

The setback brings an end to Hearts of Oak’s unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign, nudging them down to fifth in the league table. On the other side, Kotoko’s victory keeps their own unbeaten record intact and strengthens their claim as early contenders for the title.

Both teams now shift focus to upcoming fixtures, but the debate over whether Hearts truly deserved to lose this one may linger among fans for days.
