Ghana now knows exactly where its journey at the 2026 FIFA World Cup will unfold, with FIFA officially releasing the venues and match schedules for Group L. The Black Stars’ campaign will span two countries and three major North American cities as Otto Addo’s men aim to reassert themselves on the global stage.
Back for their fifth World Cup appearance, Ghana will square up against Panama, England and Croatia in a group that promises drama, travel miles and huge opportunities.

The adventure begins under the Toronto skyline on Tuesday, 17 June, with a late-night showdown against Panama kicking off at 23:00 GMT. Six days later, the spotlight shifts to Boston for what is expected to be one of the group’s marquee fixtures, Ghana versus England, set for Monday, 23 June at 20:00 GMT.
Their final test arrives in Philadelphia, where the Black Stars will take on 2018 finalists Croatia on Friday, 27 June, kicking off at 22:00 GMT in what could be a decisive tie.
Otto Addo, speaking after the draw, tried to strike the right balance between ambition and caution as his team prepares for the continental trek.
“Surely we take it match by match. We want to win every match, that is for sure,” he told TV3. “Like I said, once we get a good start, anything is possible. On a good day, I know we can beat anyone. But I also know that we can lose against all of those teams, including Panama.”

The mission is clear: restore their reputation as one of Africa’s most feared World Cup forces and reclaim the knockout-round pedigree that once made them continental trailblazers.
