At just 20 years old, Ernest Mohammed is rapidly making a name for himself as one of Ghana’s most exciting goalkeeping prospects.

Born on April 25, 2005, the towering shot-stopper has risen from the ranks of Living Dreams Academy to become a standout performer for Kenyan side Nairobi United, where his assured displays have captured attention far beyond East Africa.

Ernest’s breakout campaign last season was nothing short of remarkable. In 18 league appearances, he recorded 10 clean sheets and scooped four Man of the Match accolades — a clear reflection of his reliability, sharp reflexes, and maturity well beyond his years.

His influence was equally profound in the domestic cup competition. Across six games, the young custodian managed four clean sheets and picked up three Man of the Match awards. His stellar performances helped Nairobi United lift the trophy and secure qualification for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, with Ernest deservedly crowned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Now, with his confidence and experience steadily growing, Ernest believes the time has come to represent Ghana on the international stage. Combining agility, composure, and a commanding presence, he typifies the modern goalkeeper — one who not only stops shots but also leads and inspires from the back.

“I’m ready to wear the national colors and give everything for Ghana,” Ernest said confidently. “It’s every young player’s dream, and I believe my performances show I’m prepared for that stage,” he was quoted by Graphic Online.

As Ghana looks to reinforce its goalkeeping ranks at both youth and senior levels, Ernest Mohammed’s rise offers a beacon of promise. Polished, disciplined, and driven, he appears destined to answer his nation’s call when opportunity knocks.
