The latest weekend of action across the world provided another strong showing from Ghanaian footballers, with several players making their first league appearances for new clubs while others continued to make decisive contributions for their respective teams.
Five Ghanaian players Ibrahim Osman of Brighton & Hove Albion, Caleb Yirenkyi of Coventry City, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku of Ipswich Town, Thomas Partey of Al Shabab and Jerry Afriyie of KRC Genk, all marked their league debuts for their new sides over the weekend.
Among the standout performers was Afriyie, who enjoyed an eye-catching introduction to Belgian football. The Ghanaian forward supplied an assist on his Genk debut as they shared an eight-goal thriller with Royal Antwerp in a 4-4 draw in the Jupiler Pro League on Saturday.
There were also goals for Bismark Charles, Abdul Aziz Yakubu, Samuel Owusu, Kwadwo Duah and Rahim Ibrahim, while Prince Owusu maintained his remarkable scoring form in Major League Soccer by taking his league tally to 13 goals for CF Montreal.
Samuel Owusu delivered a particularly influential display in Israel, scoring once and providing an assist as Maccabi Petah Tikva secured a 2-1 victory over Kiryat Shmona.
In China, Abdul Aziz Yakubu was also among the goals, finding the net for Qingdao West Coast in their 2-0 triumph over Shandong Taishan.
England
In the Premier League, Antoine Semenyo completed the full 90 minutes for Manchester City as they defeated Bournemouth 2-1.

Caleb Yirenkyi and Brandon Thomas-Asante both made their Premier League bows for Coventry City, although their debut ended in disappointment as Arsenal secured a convincing 3-0 victory.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku impressed on his Premier League debut for Ipswich Town, featuring prominently in their 2-1 victory over Sunderland.
Ibrahim Osman also made his league debut for Brighton & Hove Albion, coming on as his side cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.
