Belgium-Ghana winger Jesse Bisiwu has taken the next step in his burgeoning career after completing a switch to Barcelona Atlètic from Belgian outfit Club NXT.
The highly-rated 18-year-old has penned a long-term contract that will keep him at the Catalan club until 30 June 2031, as Barcelona continue investing in some of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Comfortable operating off the left flank despite being naturally right-footed, Bisiwu arrives in Spain after an encouraging spell in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League, where he gained valuable first-team experience with Club NXT.
Across 36 league appearances, the youngster found the net twice and contributed two assists, while also making his mark on the continental stage. He featured in 14 UEFA Youth League matches, registering three goals and one assist against some of Europe’s top academy sides.

Bisiwu spent the last three seasons with Club NXT following his arrival from Club Brugge’s academy in July 2023. Before that, he had developed at OH Leuven’s youth ranks, making the move to Club Brugge in 2020.
His recruitment strengthens Barcelona Atlètic’s attacking options, with the versatile winger expected to add pace, creativity and directness in the final third.
Despite his age, Bisiwu already boasts experience in both senior league football and elite youth competition, qualities that have made him one of the latest promising additions to Barcelona’s renowned development pathway.
