FC Inter Turku have bolstered their attacking ranks with the capture of Ghanaian-born winger Kofi Fosu Asare from Swedish outfit Landskrona BoIS, completing the deal just before the Finnish transfer window slammed shut.

The 23-year-old speedster has inked a contract that ties him to the Turku club until the close of the 2025 season, with an option that could see him remain in Finland through 2027 if all goes to plan.

Asare, who grew up in Sweden after being born in Ghana, honed his craft in the youth systems of Stockholm giants Hammarby IF and Djurgårdens IF before stepping into senior football. He carved out a reputation in the Swedish Superettan with Landskrona, where he spent the last three campaigns. During that stretch, he clocked up 67 league outings and chipped in 13 goals, cementing himself as a central figure in their attack.

Inter’s head coach Vesa Vasara believes the new arrival has exactly the tools his side needs as they gear up for the final stretch of the Veikkausliiga season.

“Kofi comes straight from Sweden, where the Superettan season is in progress. He is our type of player: a good 1v1 player who can accelerate and bring a threat even by passing. Hopefully, we will have success with him for the rest of the season,” Vasara told the club’s media.

Known for his direct running, sharp dribbling, and ability to stretch defenses, Asare is expected to slot quickly into Inter’s frontline as they chase a strong league finish.
