Swedru All Blacks could unveil new recruit Frank Awere this Sunday when they host Asante Kotoko in a pivotal Ghana Premier League encounter at Swedru Park.

The club is racing to complete Awere’s registration in time for the weekend, and if cleared, the signing is expected to slot straight into a side eager for fresh impetus.

Currently placed 11th on the league table, the newly promoted outfit is looking to put daylight between themselves and the danger zone as they chase stability in their debut top-flight campaign.

Awere’s possible introduction comes at a demanding moment. Standing in Swedru’s way are Asante Kotoko, one of the league’s title contenders, who arrive sitting second and firmly in pursuit of leaders Medeama. The Porcupine Warriors trail by just a single point and know that any slip could dent their championship ambitions.

With Kotoko desperate to keep the pressure on at the summit and Swedru All Blacks equally intent on climbing away from the lower half, Sunday’s fixture has taken on added edge. All eyes will be on whether Awere gets the nod, with his debut potentially shaping a contest loaded with significance at both ends of the table.
