World football’s governing body, FIFA, has given the nod for striker Hamza Issah and his representatives to sever ties with Hearts of Oak, clearing the final hurdle for an overseas switch.
Sources close to the deal indicate the forward has already agreed terms with South African outfit Siwelele FC and is booked on a Sunday morning flight at 10 a.m. to wrap up the move.
The paperwork is lined up, the travel plans are locked in, and the next chapter appears imminent.
Despite the green light, there’s a last-ditch push from Hearts of Oak’s hierarchy to keep Issah around for one final appearance in the high-stakes showdown against Asante Kotoko. The club hopes to squeeze one more performance out of the striker before he heads out.
Veteran reporter Joe Lakka has indicated that talks to delay Issah’s departure are ongoing, but the player’s camp is already steps ahead.
His manager, Isaac, is on the ground in South Africa, setting the stage for the formalities to be completed as soon as Issah lands.
