Ghanaian international and winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed frustration at the reaction of some Leicester City fans during their Championship clash with Preston North End on Saturday.

The Foxes suffered a 2-1 defeat at Deepdale, but what left Issahaku more disappointed was seeing sections of the traveling supporters leave the stadium before the final whistle.

Preston struck first through Alfie Divine in the seventh minute, putting the home side ahead early on. Leicester fought back after the break, drawing level in the 67th minute thanks to Jeremy Monga. However, by that time, some Foxes fans had already departed.

The hosts eventually sealed victory when Milutin Osmanjic netted a late winner, prompting even more Leicester supporters to head for the exits.

“So disappointed about the game yesterday. But as we say and believe that FOXES never quit, it is too early at this stage of the season to see fans leaving the stadium so quickly when we are down by just one,” he wrote on his Instagram.

The 20-year-old emphasized the need for unity and loyalty from the fans in difficult moments.

“This is exactly the time we need you. You cannot celebrate wins with the team but shy away from defeats. Football is a game where you cannot always win, so we need everyone behind us, in good times and bad. That way, when we do succeed, you can be proud of sticking with us. Thanks to all the traveling fans for your amazing support, but we need more.”
