FC Ashdod wrapped up a commanding 4–1 victory over Hapoel Haifa, with Eugene Ansah adding a stoppage-time flourish in a performance that kept the Yud-Alef Stadium buzzing from start to finish.

The afternoon didn’t begin kindly for the hosts, who were stunned just two minutes in when Javon East pounced to give Haifa the lead. Ashdod shook off the early blow and gradually took charge of the match, finding their rhythm midway through the first half.

Ibrahim Diakite sparked the comeback with a firm header in the 33rd minute, and before Haifa could regroup, Jean Batoum powered in another header to flip the script four minutes later. The momentum stayed with the home side, and Ori Azo capped a dominant stretch by drilling a crisp finish into the top corner shortly before the break.

Ashdod controlled the tempo after half-time, and as the game drifted toward its conclusion, Ansah delivered the final word. A slick counter spearheaded by Karim Kimvuidi left the Haifa defence scrambling, and Ansah arrived in stride to guide a cool, low effort into the bottom left corner.

The win lifts Ashdod higher up the Ligat Ha’al ladder, setting up a tougher test ahead when they face Maccabi Tel Aviv on November 30.
