Wolfsberger AC have secured the services of one of their brightest young stars for the foreseeable future, as dynamic midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang has put pen to paper on a contract extension that ties him to the Austrian Bundesliga outfit until the summer of 2029.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian talent earned the fresh deal on the back of a breakout campaign that showcased his creativity and consistency in midfield. Agyemang registered three goals and six assists in 28 appearances last season, playing a pivotal role in the club’s domestic campaign and cup triumph.
Reflecting on his decision to commit long-term, Agyemang shared with the club: “I’m very happy to extend my contract with WAC, and I can’t wait to celebrate further successes, like last year’s cup win with our fans.”
Agyemang’s journey with the Carinthian side has been nothing short of impressive. Arriving in early 2024 from Ghana’s renowned West African Football Academy (WAFA SC), he initially cut his teeth with Wolfsberger’s reserve side.
His standout performances quickly propelled him into the senior squad, where he has since become a mainstay in the starting XI.
The contract extension is a clear statement of intent from both club and player, cementing Agyemang’s status as a cornerstone of WAC’s long-term ambitions in Austrian football.
