Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has undefined goalkeeper Benjamin Asare’s rise to the Ghanaian senior national team is a significant milestone for the side.
Asare received his maiden senior national team summon for Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar in June. He justified the selection by starting both games and keeping clean sheets.
Ahead of Hearts of Oak’s Democracy Cup clash with city rivals Great Olympics on Friday, September 5, at the University of Ghana Stadium, Dramani expressed his delight at Asare’s progress.
“We prepared Benjamin [Asare] to the best that we can to have that production to the national team and that’s a big plus for the club,” he said.
Asare has once again been rewarded with a spot in Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad for the upcoming Matchday 7 and 8 qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
