Asante Kotoko delivered a breathtaking display of attacking football on Sunday afternoon, tearing Bechem United apart in a ruthless 6–0 demolition at the Baba Yara Stadium to underline their growing authority in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors were in no mood for mercy as striker Morifing Donzo spearheaded the onslaught with two well-taken goals. He was ably supported by a vibrant supporting cast, with Samba O’Neil, Kwame Opoku, Hubert Gyau and Johnson Owusu Oppong all getting on the scoresheet in what turned into a one-sided spectacle.

From the opening exchanges, Kotoko dictated the tempo, pressing aggressively and carving open Bechem United’s defence with ease. The visitors struggled to cope with the intensity and movement of Zito’s side, who combined sharp passing with clinical finishing to put the contest beyond doubt long before the final whistle.
The emphatic victory extends Kotoko’s impressive run to three straight league wins, having already brushed aside Dreams FC and Eleven Wonders in recent outings. More significantly, the result propels the Kumasi giants to the summit of the league table, reinforcing their credentials as genuine title contenders.
Speaking to the press after the match in an interview, head coach Abdul Karim Zito could not hide his satisfaction, particularly with the sharpness of his attacking unit.
“I am very happy we won. I’m very happy for the boys. It tells you that they [the strikers] have been taking their practice very seriously, so I think it manifested in the game today, and I’m very happy for them,” Karim Zito said.
