Arsenal are weighing up a late swoop for FC Nordsjaelland’s teenage sensation Caleb Yirenkyi as Mikel Arteta looks to add depth to his midfield options before the summer transfer deadline slams shut, The Mirror reports.

With the Premier League window set to close on September 1, the Gunners are intensifying their scouting efforts, and Yirenkyi has emerged as a standout name on their shortlist. The 19-year-old Ghanaian prodigy, who has already carved out a reputation as one of the Danish Superliga’s most exciting prospects, remains under contract with Nordsjaelland until 2029, a deal that reflects the club’s confidence in his rapid rise.

Despite his long-term deal, Yirenkyi’s estimated €1 million valuation has caught Arsenal’s attention, presenting a potentially shrewd investment for the future. The North London side, who are targeting both experience and young talent this window, are expected to make concrete advances in the coming days.

The Accra-born midfielder has been in fine form for Nordsjaelland, impressing scouts with his composure on the ball and ability to dictate play from deep. His stock is set to rise even further as he prepares to link up with Ghana’s national team for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

For Arsenal, a move for Yirenkyi would fit their recent transfer blueprint, securing promising talent early while maintaining an eye on squad evolution.
