Former Liverpool defender and renowned football analyst Jamie Carragher has selected Ghana international Antoine Semenyo in his Premier League Team of the Season following the forward’s exceptional campaign in England.
Semenyo has enjoyed a remarkable year in the English top flight, emerging as one of the standout performers after netting 16 league goals and providing four assists during the 2025/26 season. His impressive tally includes contributions for AFC Bournemouth before completing a high-profile midseason switch to Manchester City in January.
Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium, the Ghanaian attacker has quickly become a crucial figure in Pep Guardiola’s setup, playing a major role in City’s strong finish to the campaign as they continue their fierce battle with Arsenal for the league crown.

Carragher’s best XI heavily features Manchester City stars, underlining the club’s dominant run in the second half of the season.
Semenyo shares a place in the lineup alongside prolific striker Erling Haaland, rising talent Nico O’Reilly, Matheus Nunes, Bernardo Silva and Belgian-Ghanaian winger Jeremy Doku.
The team also features several key players from Arsenal, including goalkeeper David Raya, defenders Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba, as well as midfield powerhouse Declan Rice.

Rounding off the selection is Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, who is widely regarded as one of the strongest contenders for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
For Semenyo, the recognition caps off what has been the finest spell of his career so far.
