NAC Breda showed remarkable grit and cohesion as they snatched a hard-earned 2-2 draw on the road against Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven, with Andre Ayew lauding the squad’s collective effort.

The Ghanaian forward, who was introduced in the second half, took to social media to highlight the team’s unity following a pulsating encounter at the Philips Stadium.

“Top team work! +1 we keep going NAC Breda,” Ayew wrote, encapsulating the fighting spirit that drove the side to twice claw back from behind.

The fixture proved to be a rollercoaster. PSV struck first in the 27th minute through Couhaib Driouech, only for NAC Breda to respond with a quickfire double before the interval. Boy Kemper equalised in the 45th minute, and almost immediately afterward, Charles-Andreas Brym put the visitors ahead, leaving the champions stunned heading into halftime.

Despite relentless pressure from PSV in the second half, NAC Breda held firm, only conceding a late equaliser in stoppage time when Armando Obispo’s header denied them a historic victory.

For Ayew, who arrived at Breda during the January transfer window, the draw represents another step in settling into Dutch football, having now featured in three league matches.

The point earned against the league’s frontrunners provides a crucial morale boost for NAC Breda as they continue their fight to escape the relegation zone, with the performance serving as a testament to teamwork and resilience.
