Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu has declared that his side will approach the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League with confidence and without intimidation, regardless of the opposition.
The Pride and Passion outfit, now based in Tamale, have made an encouraging start to the new campaign. They stunned Aduana FC with a slim victory on the opening day before grinding out a point against FC Samartex, collecting four points from their first two games.
Their next hurdle comes on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, where they welcome defending champions Medeama SC in what promises to be a stern test.

Amadu, however, remains unfazed by the calibre of teams in the league.
โOf course, clubs like Kotoko, Hearts, and Medeama have tradition, quality players, and experience on their side,โ he noted in an interview with Graphic Sports. โBut we are not in this league to play second fiddle. We wonโt bow to names, and we wonโt over-respect anyone. Every fixture will be treated with the same level of intensity and preparation.โ
Last season, Karelaโs struggles left them fighting until the final weeks to escape relegation. This time, Amadu is convinced the strong start signals a new era for the club.
โWeโve taken lessons from the difficulties of last year. This group is hungrier, more disciplined, and determined to make a statement. We are ready to challenge,โ he added.

With Medeama, Kotoko, and Hearts looming on the fixture list, Karelaโs resilience will soon face a thorough examination, but their coach is already sending a clear message: Karela United are no longer pushovers.
