Communications chief of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has called on the Black Stars to approach their upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures with humility and focus, despite sitting comfortably at the summit of their group.
The four-time African champions are preparing for the September international window, where they will face Chad and Mali in crucial Matchday 7 and 8 encounters. Ghana enter this phase of the campaign on the back of consecutive victories over Chad and Madagascar earlier this year, results that have propelled them to the top of Group I with 15 points and four matches left to play.

With momentum building and expectations soaring among fans, Asante Twum believes now more than ever is the moment for calm heads and discipline.
“The spirit of the nation is behind the Black Stars, but we will have to stay humble as we strive to secure the maximum points needed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup,” he said in an interview with Asempa FM.
The Stars will open their September schedule with a tricky away trip to Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before returning to Accra to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8.
