Black Stars Management Committee member, Dr. Richard Nsenkyire, has urged the senior national team to maintain full focus as they gear up for their crucial September World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

Ghana, sitting comfortably at the summit of Group I with 15 points, are in a strong position to edge closer to qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. But Dr. Nsenkyire insists that the team cannot afford to take anything for granted.

“The team must avoid complacency because anything can happen in football, and for the supporters, we are counting on you,” he told Asempa FM.

The Black Stars will first travel to N’Djamena to face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4. Four days later, Otto Addo’s men will return home to face Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium in what is expected to be a highly competitive clash.

To ensure adequate preparation, the squad will assemble in Accra on Monday, September 1. With qualification within sight, the emphasis from management remains clear: discipline, hunger, and consistency must guide the team’s approach.
